So, umm, yeah. I seem to have gotten a second legendary cloak. Call me crazy, but I’m glad I did it. I finally feel like I can flex raid sufficiently on this character now! As you can see, I got a little dressed up for this occasion this time.
With this recent acquisition, I have now completed my stretch goal. No, actually, my stretch-stretch-stretch goal. To be honest, I did not think I would ever get this thing. Because of this, I now need a new goal to keep me occupied (I am a very goal oriented person, ok??). After some deliberation and decision-making, I have decided to make it my goal to completely max out my main character. Full exalted reputations, maxed out professions, the whole shi-bang. Like my previous stretch goal, this one (hopefully) won’t happen for a long while.
On top of that, I have been given the opportunity to raid with some twitter celebrities (ok, not personally, but still!). Unfortunately, they are a horde guild, so I need to get up my blood elf priest’s ilvl up fast. At this point, she is at 503, but I’m aiming to get to 530 if possible. I also need some advice from you, the readers!
- What is the fastest way to get a dirt-poor, isolated alt’s ilvl up to 530?
- Currently, I am holy specced, but should I go disc? Is it significantly better?
- How can I gem/enchant said dirt-poor isolated alt properly??
As always, big thanks for the help!
Addendum: What are you guys doing to keep yourself interest in WoW?
I find that disc doesn’t seem to have as much mana regen issues as holy so I prefer disc at lower level of gear so you don’t need to try to get as much spirit. Plus I find disc fun but j guess play what you’re more comfortable with 🙂
As for gear, what professions do you have? Can you make the gems/enchants yourself? Or find a helpful person who you can get the raw mats to and they can make for you.
Short of lots of lf, maybe you can find some throne of thunder runs to boost gear with? Or depending on your valor/rep amounts there is the quartermasters on the isle of thunder.
Good luck 🙂
Thanks for all the advice! I think I will go disc, because Atonement healing sounds like a ton of fun!
As for my professions, I have jewelcrafting and mining, but it’s been a real pain to level them up. Currently I’m at Wrath level, but I have been grinding that. I’ve been trying to find friendly people, but it seems everyone is silent and keeps to themselves. It’s kinda strange. I’ve mostly been using the neutral auction house to get enchants from my other characters.
I’ve been running tons of Thrones of Thunder LFR, and that has been helping tremendously. I have a ton of honor, but little valor as she was my PvP character before I realized I hated PvP on shadow priests. I may do some dailies in that case.
Really, the thing holding me back right now is my ilvl 429 weapon. I haven’t gotten anything else to drop (but I do have a pretty good off hand). Hopefully, I’ll get something soon! 😀
Thanks so much for all the pointers and advice!!
Oh the neutral auction house, it was an absolute life saver for me when I moved my main raiding toon horde and left all my profession toons alliance. It was frustrating passing everything through but an absolute neccesity to stop me having to buy everything that I knew I could make. It made me realise that this game would be much much better with the abilty to mail anything to your own toons; being able to pass boa’s across realm/faction is starting to address that though thankfully.
Good luck on the weapon – you can get a 450 blue one from going up to do the tournament scenario (I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of it off my head), its the same place you do the proving grounds in – up in Kun Lai Summit, but you que for it through the scenario LFG. It might be a slight upgrade while you hopefully get a better drop from lfr.
I will definitely get that scenario weapon (I had forgotten about it until you mentioned it!) the next time I can play.
Also, I went disc, and was able to run one LFR. My goodness is it crazy and different! Basically, I spammed Smite or Prayer of Healing, and I had almost no mana issues. Disc will definitely get some getting use to!
